This sweet baby boy was 17 days old when he came to my Brooklyn studio, right in that perfect newborn window. His parents traveled all the way from Florida for his session, staying close to his grandparents here in Brooklyn.
He's their first baby, and you could feel how special that was. Mom started out thinking all neutrals, but we ended up adding soft blues, greens and grays alongside creams, a gentle boy palette that still feels calm and timeless.

The setups
- A cozy bucket setup
- A little heart-shaped nest
- A tiny wooden cart, with him tucked in snugly
- A sweet lamb prop for a few classic shots
- Family photos with mom and dad holding their son
Every setup was prepared before they arrived, so we could simply move at his pace.

A keepsake album
My favorite part? They chose to print an heirloom album, with the blue heart image on the cover. Photos are meant to be held, and an album is something their family will open again and again.

Planning your newborn session in Brooklyn
The ideal time for newborn photos is 10 to 18 days old. Mom has had a little time to heal, feeding is settling in, and baby is still curled up and calm. Older babies are welcome too, they're just a bit more awake and I wrap them a little more.
My studio is in Brooklyn, NY, and families come from all over NYC, and sometimes from much farther away. If you're expecting, reach out to reserve your spot.
