Casey’s Newborn session in my brooklyn studio was awesome!

Casey was born several weeks early, and her newborn session took place when she was 2 weeks old. She was 6lbs 8oz at the time and her mother’s actual due date was not yet! So awesome how every baby has her unique time to come in the world!

Casey slept like a champ and I was able to pose her easily in so many different setups and poses, just like her mother wanted! I used several beanbag colors, including cream, purple pink and gray.

Mom asked to use the heart shape bowl so I used it in two different ways. One was a silhouette of just the shape of the heart, I really love this image! I asked mom and dat to hole Casey from both sides and it came out great! the other was the bare bowl with the gray set, which also came out so cute especially with her little toes peeking.

Her mother wanted the session to be neutral and soft pastels and with minimal props. I away ask the parents to tell me all about what they love. what colors work best with their home decor, so I can create beautiful art that will match perfectly and complement their space.

At the day of the session it was really freezing outside, in the low 20s. I made sure the studio was nice and warm and Casey was so comfortable, she was able to pose naked for most of her session.
