I’m so thrilled to share the gorgeous maternity session of Tara + Mike, a seriously dreamy shoot that highlighted the beautiful sites of the city! Getting to spend time with the both of them in their new home was incredible, and the images we were able to capture were jaw dropping. I just loved it!

Truthfully, maternity sessions don’t just capture your pregnancy; they capture the love of you and your partner, the wealth of happiness the two of you share, and the important moments you’re about to experience as a couple. Getting to interact with my clients and learn their stories is something I cherish so much. I love producing images that my clients will look back on and gush over, remembering all the changes they were experiencing at that moment in their lives.

Having just moved to Brooklyn, Tara and Mike, who is a medical student, really wanted to capture their pregnancy in their new home. The first day we met, we snapped a few photos with the city as a backdrop, but then it started to pour with rain! Regardless, the few photographs we were able to create on the avenues of their new home were absolutely stunning!

I came back the next day with the hopes that the sun would shine through. Luckily, it did! We ventured up to the roof of their building and found an endless stream of sunlight, which gave the photographs an extremely ethereal look. With each capture, the love between them grew stronger and more prominent, and I think we were really able to encapsulate the magic of pregnancy and growing together as a family.
